FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Extends Warm Welcome to Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Delegation at FEBI Atrium

 The Faculty of Islamc Economics and Business (FEBI) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta warmly welcomed a special delegation from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia, on Monday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 PM at the FEBI Atrium. The event was part of the preparations for the upcoming 1st International Student Conference on Islamic Financial Management, which will highlight the vital role of Islamic finance in promoting economic resilience.

The reception, initiated by the Sharia Financial Management (MKS) Study Program, was attended by key FEBI leaders, including Prof. Dr. Misnen Ardiyansyah, S.E., M.Si. (Dean of FEBI), Dr. Sunaryati, S.E., M.Si. (Vice Dean I), Dr. Mukhammad Yazid, M.Ag. (Vice Dean II), Dr. Ibi Satibi, S.H.I., M.Si. (Vice Dean III), and Dr. Darmawan, SPd., MAB (Head of the Sharia Financial Management Study Program). Also present were Ratna Sofiana, S.H., M.Si. (Secretary of the Study Program), Izra Berakon, M.Sc. (Chair of the International Conference Committee), lecturers and students of the Islamic Financial Management Study Program.

The UiTM delegation comprised 19 students and five lecturers and university officials, reflecting a strong enthusiasm for academic collaboration and the advancement of Islamic finance studies.

In his welcoming address, Prof. Dr. Misnen Ardiyansyah expressed appreciation for the organizing committee's efforts and underlined the importance of international partnerships. “We are honored and delighted by this visit from UiTM as part of our shared commitment to strengthening academic and research collaboration in Islamic finance, a field that has become a strategic necessity in today’s global economic landscape,” he remarked.

Representing UiTM, Dr. Muhammad Hamizan Abdul Hamid extended his gratitude for the warm reception and the opportunity to engage in meaningful academic exchange. He emphasized the importance of such forums in bridging theory and industry practices within the Islamic finance sector.

The gathering served as a valuable moment of scholarly connection among students and faculty members from both institutions. It also marked a significant step forward in cross-border collaboration, aimed at enhancing research and education in Islamic finance as a foundation for sustainable and resilient economic systems.
