UIN Sunan Kalijaga Leads the List of Campuses with the Most Students Accepted into the PRIMA Internship Program

Yogyakarta, August 21, 2025 – Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has secured the top position among campuses with the highest number of students accepted into the PRIMA PTKI Internship Program. Based on the latest data as of August 19, 2025, at 08:00 AM, a total of 62 UIN Sunan Kalijaga students have officially been accepted for internships and have responded to offers from partner companies.

This achievement places UIN Sunan Kalijaga above UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya (54 students) and UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung (29 students). Meanwhile, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta ranks fourth with 22 students, followed by UIN Pekalongan with 15 students.

The Head of the Center for Career Development and Internship (Cendi) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Noor Saif Muhammad Mussafi, Ph.D., welcomed the achievement. According to him, although the data is still provisional, it demonstrates that UIN Sunan Kalijaga students are receiving greater trust from partner companies compared to other PTKIN students.

“This is very exciting news. Although the data is still temporary, this accomplishment proves that UIN Sunan Kalijaga students are the most trusted by partner companies to take part in the internship program. This aligns with the university’s efforts to prepare graduates who are competent, adaptive, and competitive in the workforce,” said Noor Saif Muhammad Mussafi.

Meanwhile, UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Collaboration, Dr. Abdur Rozaki, also expressed his appreciation. He encouraged students to make the most of internship opportunities as valuable preparation for their future.

“We encourage our students to take full advantage of available internship opportunities. Through internships, students not only gain practical work experience but also build networks and prepare themselves to achieve a bright future,” said Dr. Abdur Rozaki.

Going forward, UIN Sunan Kalijaga is committed to continuously expanding its partnerships with the business and industrial sectors, so that more students will have the chance to gain direct learning experiences in the professional world.
