Jakarta — Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar inaugurated seven new officials within the Ministry of Religious Affairs and State Islamic Universities (PTKIN) on Wednesday (September 17, 2025) in Jakarta. Among them was Dr. H. Muhammad Luthfi Hamid, M.Ag., who officially assumed the role of Head of the Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs, and Cooperation (AAKK) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
Hamid succeeds Ir. Sunarini, M.Kom., who retired on February 1, 2025.
During the interim, the position was temporarily held by Dr. Ali Sodiq, Head of the Bureau of
General Administration and Finance. His appointment marks a pivotal moment in
the leadership transition at UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
In his remarks, Minister Umar stressed that
integrity must remain the cornerstone of public office. “This is both a mandate and a challenge. I expect the newly
appointed officials to demonstrate their best performance, uphold integrity,
and deliver higher-quality services for the public,” he said. He
emphasized that such appointments are not merely administrative rotations but
part of a broader effort to refresh organizational leadership in line with the
evolving needs of society.
For UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Hamid’s leadership
brings renewed momentum to strengthen academic services, advance student
development, and expand international partnerships. The university envisions
this appointment as a strategic step toward building an educational governance
system that is excellent, inclusive, and globally competitive.
With this leadership transition, UIN Sunan
Kalijaga reaffirms its commitment to institutional excellence and reinforces
its standing as a modern Islamic university ready to thrive on the global stage.
