YOGYAKARTA, Indonesia (Aug 28) — UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has been recognized as the “Best Partner Campus” at the 2025 BAZNAS Awards, held Thursday at Mercure Hotel Ancol, Jakarta. The award highlights the university’s active role in supporting zakat, infak, and alms (ZIS) programs, including scholarships for underprivileged students.

Dr. Abdur Rozaki, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation, said the recognition reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to student welfare, with 107 students already benefiting from BAZNAS scholarships and more being selected this year. UIN Sunan Kalijaga hosts two internal zakat institutions—the Zakat Management Unit (UPZ) and SUKA Endowment Fund—which help students cover tuition fees while fostering social responsibility.

Rector Prof. Noorhaidi Hasan described the award as a collective achievement for the university community and a motivation to strengthen zakat-based educational programs. “This recognition encourages us to continue supporting students and integrating social responsibility into our academic mission,” he said.

The Best Partner Campus accolade underscores UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s position as a leading institution that combines academic excellence, spirituality, and community engagement.
